The objective for this project was to design an event poster which visually communicated creative traits about an artist from Cincinnati.
Research
To gather influence for the design, I created many physical posters made out of cutout paper. These would help influence the layout and typographic traits of the final poster.
Iterations
I had taken several textual layouts from the research stage, and imported them into Adobe Illustrator to add visual elements such as texture and color.
Refinements
I had selected the iteration that had felt the closest to the artist's personality. I refined the design to contain less visual noise, with an emphasis on legibility of text. I added a border to help frame the text.
